Winter Solstice Ceremony
December 19th | 6:30 PM at Soma Yoga
with Rachael Duda Maitland
The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year and the rebirth of the sun—a sacred astronomical event honoring our profound connection to the natural world - to the land + sky energies, and to the cosmic cycles. This pivotal moment invites us to pause, using the stillness and darkness as a doorway for self-reflection, regeneration, + renewal.
Gather with us for in ceremony as we steep into the darker season — a quiet unfolding into stillness, an invitation to attune deeply to the subtle layers of experience. We’ll move into an embodied movement practice enriched with breathwork and sound as an invitation to explore and to drop into the wisdom of psyche and soma. The evening will close with a therapeutic yin practice, guided meditation, and sound bath to nurture the nervous system and restore harmony within. A collective sanctuary of slowness, ritual, and rest.
May we know the medicine that flows from a willingness to sink deeply within, to ground ourselves in quietude, and cultivate a deeper relationship with ourselves and the living, breathing world surrounding us.
