A Summer Solstice Day Retreat

Sunday, June 22nd in Rockport MA. | 10-5 PM

Joanna Benevides + Rachael Duda Maitland

Our enchanting summer season is almost here, and we’re being called to bloom!

The Summer Solstice is a sacred portal of expansion—the longest day of the year, when the sun is at its peak and the energy of abundance and transformation is amplified. To harness the energy of this time, we invite you to join us at the historic Windhover in Rockport Ma., a well-known non-profit performing arts center that has become our sweet and sacred gathering space to honor and celebrate the cycles of the seasons.

Our day will be filled with an enriching immersion of yoga and meditation, somatic movement and dance, sound therapy and creative art, all complemented by a seasonal lunch that embodies the essence of summer, artfully crafted with fresh, local ingredients to nourish both body and soul. A harmonious blend of earth-based wisdom, holistic practices, and wonder and play will spark renewal and inspiration as we engage with, and deepen our relationship with the natural world.

To conclude the day, we invite you to join us at a nearby beach for an invigorating dive in the ocean, allowing us to ignite our senses, and awaken the vibrant spirit of the summer season.

Windhover’s Magic:

Rich in history, Windhover is a non-profit performing arts center tucked away in charming Pigeon Cove in Rockport Ma. that has served the community as a place to learn, perform, and share the beauty of dance and the related arts in a natural setting for over 50 years. It is located on 4 ½ acres of beautiful open meadows, forest’s, and outdoor gardens with sacred and rustic architectural treasures where you are fully immersed in nature. The name Windhover symbolizes the soaring of one’s imagination and the spiritual quest that informs art.

These gatherings are centered around fostering connection and community, and are an open and loving space for all. They are a coming together of all ages and backgrounds, and spaces to learn and grow together in reverence and reciprocity with the land.
